Si baju ungu

Filed under: Life — efenem @ 3:24 pm

Not this one

Subjek picisan – epidemiology (II)

Filed under: Twisted! — efenem @ 1:52 pm

Today, the epidemiology class was like yesterday and the day before – total waste of time. It was told that our teacher was accompanying Shkarin (President of NNSMA) earlier this morning. The teacher was supposed to come at 11 am, but look how long we waited:

teacher hasnt come

Damn! Almost an hour waiting… USD went down the drain again…

Subjek Picisan – Epidemiology

Epidemiology is a very important subject in med school. I am not an epidemiologist, but I know it is important. The President of NNSMA himself is a gold-medal epidemiologist.

Yeah, so it is important.

It is a very important subject that the teacher still wants me to replace class when I took a day off to celebrate Raya. It is very important that every definition must be memorized word by word. Such is the high standard of epidemiology in NNSMA.

The lectures are superb. But sadly, the classes are not. The breaks are very long. I don’t know about the other teachers, but ours gave us break for 1.5 hours yesterday and 3 hours break today!

That spells YIPPPPEEEEEEE!

Epid class waste time

Kok King wee-weely jumps around in the classroom, in between the UMNO and MISA presidents who were conspiring about taking over MSA presidency ngenge…

Waste time watch porn

And then spent some time watching disgusting porn in someone’s N95. Look at those happy faces….

Bosan epid waste time

Boring faces

Waste time epid

More boring faces….

Waste time

Nothing much to learn in epidemiology class. I wonder how much of MARA’s, JPA’s and private students’ USD went down the drain in today’s class?

Perhaps I should also petition to abolish epidemiology?? :)

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

Congratulations on КРАСИВАЯ ЖИЗНЬ

Filed under: Homeworks — efenem @ 10:06 pm

I have to congratulate everyone for working very hard on the film! Although our film is not shown during the 5th year presentation today, the teachers who watched it were simply impressed. And our beloved Russian teacher is going to take us again next year (that’s what she told just now).

Anyways, congratulations and good luck on Monday’s General Surgery exam!

Красивая Жизнь – characters

Filed under: Homeworks — efenem @ 4:34 pm

This filming project is for group 431-A of NNSMA to obtain АВТОМАТ for Russian language 4th year examination. It is not easy to film this mere 15 minutes film – it takes hours to days for the writer to generate the idea on making the film, hours of translations and corrections, hours of rehearsing and shooting, and hours of technicalities.

The patients

Rose Ngui Miao Ye as Soi Fong – the patient started with simple morning sickness and ended with a very harsh resort to her primary care surgical team! She is currently a student in the top-notch college, diligent and loves to drink milk. She is not so much into relationships and commitments but who knows how life treats you…?

Lim Shou Zhi as Hitsugaya  – the patient suspected of congenital abnormality of his heart’s electrical conduction, but ends with a more shocking diagnosis! He is currently a model and loves his girlfriend more than anyone else. He lives in a penthouse and jog every morning to make himself look good.

The doctors

Faiz Najmi as Dr. Ulqiorra – the stern senior surgeon who seems to hate everyone, but very experienced and talented. A graduate of Mexican medical school, trained himself to death under many prominent surgeons. Served and practiced medicine in India, Libya and Guam. His interest is staring fellow doctors with love.

Nanthakumar as Dr. Tousen – the emergency specialist doctor who works on a very fast pace of life. A graduate of top notch Canadian medical school, in his 8th year of postgraduation and registered as board-certified emergency specialist in American Medical Association and Russian Board of Emergency Specialists a month ago. His interest is erotic art.

Chia Kok King as Dr. Aizen Sosuke – the surgical intern who is very caring and bonds nicely with his senior surgical instructor. A fresh graduate from Nizhniy Novgorod State Medical Academy, first in class, obtained PhD in Biomolecular Science from Moscow Aviation Institute. He has a secret girlfriend. His interest in family guy.

Mohd. Fadzli as Dr. Yammy – the emergency resident who looks very calm, but is good at what he’s doing. A 3rd year postgraduate from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Just divorced because his wife does not understand the reality of his job. His interest is getting back with his wife.

Maizatul Farah as Dr. Nel Tu – the radiologist diligent in helping out every kind of doctor on every kind of specialty. Graduated college in Stanford and medical school in Harvard. She has no interest for relationship and commitment. Interested in piano and animes.

Dr Mayuri Kurotsuchi - the psychiatrist who looks calm and serene, but is avoided by most doctors for a certain reason. A graduate from Tibet, served as negotiator in several hostage situations. Currently nominated by TIMES magazine as the 3rd best psychiatrist in the world. His interest is self-motiavtion.

Hehe these are just the BLEACH characters I am talking about. It’s a lot more work and I am sure my fellow groupmates will update about this film on their part too.

The due date is tomorrow. Hopefully will get our Avtomat.

Train your reflexes

Filed under: Medical Issues — efenem @ 9:03 pm

A few days ago during the early surgery cycle, when I was observing the resection of benign colonic polyps, there’s an old guy gynecologist asked some students of group 431-A to assist in his fibroid surgery. I volunteered despite the fact that I am very unprepared for obstetric exam the next day.

What the heck right? Assisting in surgery does not come really often (and so does the Obs exam), so I chose to assist anyway. Ok, done with the smaA cardiothoracic surgeon performs a mitral valve replacement at the Fitzsimons Army Medical Center.ll talks.

During the surgery, I was giving my fullest attention to the hysterectomy. My job was simply to wipe out bloods and clots, cut sutures, and hold retractors. Those jobs were supposedly simple.

The main surgeon and the 1st assistant and the scrub nurse worked very beautifully and in total sync. Then came me, destroying the whole sync. Why? My poor surgical reflexes…

Despite giving my fullest attention to the surgery, my surgical reflexes are still poor. When the surgeon expected me to wipe out the blood, I was a little late by several miliseconds. I understood the orders very clearly but my reactions towards the surgeons’ orders were a little delayed, making me the one person who held them up a little longer than expected.

I saw blood, I wanted to wipe them away, but too late already because the surgeon has started cutting. Poor reflex. The surgeon asked me to “clear the blood off surgical field” ended up with the scrub nurse doing the job several miliseconds faster than me. Poor reflex.

Whatever. I’m still a med student. These reflexes can still be trained. The surgery was a success and I am a board-certified blood-wiper-with-poor-surgical-reflex. Ngengenge.

Welcome words from Efenem

Filed under: Twisted! — efenem @ 7:16 pm

Me being one of the authors/administrators of this weblog, along with my other groupmates, will run this blog for fun. Everyone in my group of 431A in Nizhniy Novgorod State Medical Academy will enter this free-speech zone and have lots of fun writing stuffs. And this is the first time that our group organizes a blog TOGETHER, and hoping that this blog will continue to function as long as we live.

Readers will also be having fun reading and commenting the marvelous entries. My humble apologies if the current presentation of this blog is a little messy.

The first step is the hardest anyway.
